Tools: Bluejeans - How to make a call

Purpose

This article details the steps for setting up and placing a call through BlueJeans. 

Steps
1. Setting up a call:
  • Login to bluejeans.com with your account information:

  • Select ‘Schedule Meeting

  • Enter the meeting information as detailed below

2. Joining the video conference as the moderator:
  • Goto bluejeans.com

  • Select ‘Login’

  • Select your meeting

  • Select ‘Start Meeting’

  • Choose the method you’re connecting with and follow the screen instructions

  • If prompted, enter your moderator code

3. Joining the video conference as the attendee:
  • Goto Bluejeans.com

  • Select ‘Join Meeting’

  • Enter the meeting ID

  • Select ‘Enter Meeting’

  • Choose the method you’re connecting with and follow the screen instructions

4. Ending a call
  • From a browser:

    • Select the “Leave meeting’ button at the top right of the Screen

  • From a room system, select the hang up button

Tips
Things to know about this service
  • The attendees will be shown a default screen until the moderator joins

  • The first time you use bluejeans in the browser, you’ll need to download and install a plugin

  • You should never give out your moderator code

  • The service can bridge calls from a dial-in phone, google video, skype, lync, cisco, polycom, and many more
