Multi Purpose: Presentation and Lecture Ready

 Common Components
  • Inputs (Room computer, Wall, Rack, Floorbox)
  • Displays
  • Crestron
  • Switcher
  • Speakers


If

Then

Projector or displays are out of sync

Turn entire system off

Projector or displays are not showing room computer

Check to see if the computer is asleep or turned on

or

Select the correct input according to the port to which your device is connected.

or

Touch panel control? Select ‘Room Computer’

Projector or displays are not showing BYOD

Confirm that the cables from the computer to the display device are firmly connected

or

Select the correct input according to the port to which your device is connected

or

Touch panel control? Select ‘Room Computer’ or ‘Laptop’ or ‘Floorbox’ on the screen

If the Image does not immediately show on the projector or display

From a Windows machine: by simultaneously pressing the ‘Windows’ and ‘p’ key.

or

From an Apple machine: select ‘System Preferences” under the Apple menu, select ‘Display,’ then select the mirroring feature.

Crestron is Frozen (primarily with wireless units)

Follow these steps

Inputs are not routing to display

Use the switcher to manually route

USB Extender is not active

Unplug and re-plug in

Wireless keyboard and mouse are not working

Turn them on/off then back on

or

Change batteries

Audio needs to be adjusted (higher or lower)

Turn audio up on crestron touch panel

 
What if I can't solve the issue?

If a class has started and you have tried troubleshooting for 7 minutes please grab a go bag with a portable projector. 

How to report issue that can not be fixed right away

Create new ticket and assign to Ray
