Clinical Services: Accessing Titanium in the Center for Counseling and Community Wellbeing (CCCW)

Purpose

This article outlines how to connect to access Titanium via SteinRemoteApps.

Steps

For Windows

  1. Ensure that the appropriate supervisor at CCCW has sent a formal request to Steinhardt Technology Services (STS) for access to Titanium. 
  2. After STS has granted access, navigate to https://steinremoteapps.ad.nyu.edu on a web browser. If off campus, VPN connection will be required. Refer to this guide for installing and using NYU's VPN: https://nyu.service-now.com/servicelink/kb_search.do?id=KB0011177
  3. Log in using NYU Home credentials (netID and password)
  4. Click on Titanium on the RemoteApps and Desktops screen.
  5. A file will be downloaded with the following name:
  6. Click to run the file. A warning window will appear. Click Connect.
  7. If off campus, the following windows will appear. For username type in "ad\netID" where netID is your netID. In password, type in your password for NYUHome. An NYU Usage Warning will appear, click OK to proceed.unnamed.pngunnamed.png
  8. A new window will appear asking to run the file. Click Run.
  9. Titanium should now launch. From here, enter Titanium credentials. These are separate credentials from your NYUHome credentials and must be provided by your supervisor.

 

For Mac - WARNING: Titanium is NOT optimized for MacOS. The following instructions are a custom workaround and may not always work. If certain windows do not appear, please try again two or three more times.

  1. Ensure that the appropriate supervisor at CCCW has sent a formal request to Steinhardt Technology Services (STS) for access to Titanium. 
  2. Ensure that Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 is installed on the computer AND that no other versions of Microsoft Remote Desktop are installed.   3. After STS has granted access, navigate to https://steinremoteapps.ad.nyu.edu on a web browser. If off campus, VPN connection will be required. Refer to this guide for installing and using NYU's VPN: https://nyu.service-now.com/servicelink/kb_search.do?id=KB0011175
  4. Log in using NYU Home credentials (netID and password)
  5. Click on Titanium on the RemoteApps and Desktops screen.
  6. A file will be downloaded. Click to open the file. You may need to try this several times for the next window to appear.
  7. The following windows should appear. For username type in "ad\netID" where netID is your netID. In password, type in your password for NYUHome. Screen_Shot_2018-11-15_at_9.43.03_AM.png

  9. An NYU Usage Warning will appear, click OK to proceed.unnamed.png
  10. A new window will appear asking to run the file. Click Run.
  11. Titanium should now launch. From here, enter Titanium credentials. These are separate credentials from your NYUHome credentials and must be provided by your supervisor.
